Hello Parrotheads and Guests,

Our club continues to have a good time in all we do! We have been Partying with a Purpose often! If you aren't participating outside the club meetings, try to make it to one of our events. It is a great way to get to know club members.

The Rainbow River clean up was a great time and we had a super turn out of 20 members! Thanks to all who participated.

The Odyssey of the Mind team we supported placed 13th out of 49 teams in the world competition. They had a great time meeting other children from all over the world. Unfortunately, two of the children were very ill during the competition and they felt like that affected their outcome. They sent a cute thank you note for our help!  Sadly, the movie "Hoot" left town before our planned trip with the Arnette teens. We will picnic with them June 24.

Thanks to all those who came out to celebrate Bryan's return from Iraq. I understand you guys made him feel right at home! Thanks to Bryan for bringing his family and friends too. He is back on base in Hawaii and loving it!
Thirteen members of our club helped the Sarasota club celebrate their 10th birthday recently. Thanks to our members who participated in their Survivor game. Sharon, Kathy, Mike and Steve won third place for our club! We need target practice to improve our scores next time! We learned NEVER to drink beer from a sand bucket with straws!

Steve celebrated the big 4-0 recently and wedding bells rang or will shortly for club members Lisa and Richard, Bob and Alisa, Ken and Mary Jane, and our Margaritaville friends, Tim and Dawn. What's going on here?? Congratulations to all!

Club friend Rob Peck recently played a gig at a private party for Urban Meyer and friends. All of us who are Gator fans want to hear more about that!

Our board members will attend Florida's first regional PH conference for leaders in August.

Our CLUB'S 10th BIRTHDAY is in October. Plans are being made and will be announced shortly. This year will be a little different than the past couple.

MOTM is filling fast. All of you who are still talking about going should get registered before it is full!

Seeing Jimmy and the Coral Reefers in Cincinnati will go down as a most memorable experience! What a great venue and a special night. As you know, Fingers showed up for a couple of songs as well. Jim Mayer and Jake Shimabukuro send their best to our club!

Uncle Jim says to tell all his friends hello and he'll see us in the fall. I listened to a bunch of his new songs and I must tell you, they rock! It is quite different than his first CD. His duet with Nadirah Shakoor, "I'm 4 U"

gave me goose bumps. That girl can sing! Hopefully he will release in the fall. He's a busy man!

Please support the club with the fundraiser at the July meeting!

Have a great summer!

Your president recovering from paradise,

Kathy
